Work with us at any stage of writing, presenting, interview prep. For an efficient and highly beneficial session, some tips:
- If you are working on a presentation, send or screen share your draft PowerPoint. Be prepared to summarize the goals and content of your presentation, or to deliver it.
- If you are working on writing, send your coach both the assignment and your latest draft.
- If you are working on public speaking, interviews, panel participation, or other oral communication skills, send relevant material and be ready to describe the context at the start of your coaching session.
- When your session starts, outline your goals for the meeting, and evaluate these goals with the coach at the meeting’s conclusion.
- If our coaches give you a skill-building assignment, complete it before your next meeting. While meeting with a coach is helpful, it's your practice and application of the skills discussed that leads to improvement.
- Start and end your session on time. If you are running late, notify your coach in advance so they can re-allocate that time. All sessions start on the hour, and conclude at :45. From :45-:00 each hour the coach submits session notes, replies to e-mails, and prepares for the next session.
